United front against Kos’ wildfires

On August 3rd the island of Kos was hit by a forest fire, like so many places around the globe.
The fire department aided by the army, police, emergency units from nearby islands and hundreds of volunteers, deployed until the morning of the 4th, managing to put out the fires.

It is admirable what a collective effort can achieve and how we can face even natural disasters, when working together.
We are thankful for all the volunteers (among them our own staff) and the hoteliers of Kos who offered their accommodations to volunteer groups and local citizens driven out of their homes.
We also wish to thank our customers for their understanding in regards to the power outages we have experienced, due to the fires.
We remain vigilant, while continuing our relief efforts for those stricken by the wildfires.
